NEWLY APPOINTED GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING - 57 DIVISION ASSUMED DUTIES AT HIS OFFICE

Major General B P S de Silva RSP assumed office as the 13th General Officer Commanding of the 57 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi on 2nd September 2019.

The newly-appointed General Officer Commanding received the Guard Turnout which accorded at the entrance to the Divisional Administrative Area upon his arrival and honored with the Guard of Honor by the 7 Battalion SLLI. Afterwards with the blessing of ‘Pirith Chanting’ Major General B P S de Silva placed his signature in an official document to signify the acceptance of the new office. Then, He addressed the all Officers and Other Ranks of Headquarters 57 Division, Under Command Brigades and Battalions at the Utility Building of 57 Division and exposed his future vision for 57 Division.

Finally, an all ranks tea party was held to celebrate the event. All Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended the event.
