NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDER - FORWARD MAINTENANCE AREA- KILINOCHCHI ASSUMED DUTIES AT HIS OFFICE

The newly-appointed Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - Kilinochchi, Major General D K G D Sirisena USP assumed duties as the 11th Commander of the Forward Maintenance Area -Kilinochchi which is deployed under the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi on 14 January 2019.

A formal Guard Turn Out and a Guard of Honour were offered to new Commander, upon his arrival at the Headquarters Forward Maintenance Area premises - Murukandy in keeping with military traditions.

Afterwards, amid religious blessings he left his signature for an official document and symbolized the acceptance of his new office. Later, a mango sapling was planted in the camp premises to symbolize the occasion and an elegant All Ranks tea party and troops address was held to celebrate the event.

All under command battalions Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of Forward Maintenance Area - Kilinochchi participated in the event.
