NEW YEAR MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA ORGANIZED BY THE 57 DIVISION
New Year musical extravaganza was organized by the 57 Division as an extension of New Year Festival on 11 April 2017 at the Kilinochchi Central College grounds. Major General A Kariyakarawana USP ndc , Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He was warmly welcomed by the Brigadier HJS Gunawardana RSP USP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding 57 Division. \r\n\r\nLighting of the traditional oil lamp and fireworks while displaying the commencement of Mega musical show in Killinochchi district was an amalgamation Sinhala and Tamil music. Killinochchi civil community got an exclusive opportunity to enjoy their favorite song of both language and thrilled. Thousands of music lovers gathered to Killinochchi central collage ground for this rare opportunity. \r\n\r\nThis musical extravaganza was performed by the Polgahawela Horizon. The ‘Shine Girls’ dancing team and firework show embellished this musical event. More than 1500 military and 2500 civilians participated for the event. Brigades and Battalions serving under the 57 Division organizing the event.
