Major General GV Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG, the newly-appointed Commander Security Force - Kilinochchi assumed office as 13th Commander of the Security Force - Kilinochchi on 29 March 2019 amid religious blessings.
A Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour were presented to the newly-appointed Commander, Security Forces- Kilinochchi by the troops of 8 Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment as military formalities.
Thereafter, conducting of religious rituals of all four major denominations before he signed the initial document to denote taking over of his office and lit the customary oil. To signify the event, new Commander, Security Forces- Kilinochchi planted a Santalum album sapling at the Headquarter premises.
Further, to mark the event Commander donated 4 x Solar Panel systems for the indigent families and had light refreshments with all Officers at the Officers Mess.
Commander Forward Maintenance Area – Kilinochchi, General Officer Commanding of 65 and 66 Division, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present during the day’s event.
