Major General R A Nugera WWV RWP RSP USP ndu assumed duties as the 12th Commander of the Security Force - Kilinochchi on 10 November 2018 at a colorful ceremony held at the Security Forces Headquarters - Kilinochchi.
Major General Ralph Nugera before being appointed as the Commander Security Forces- Kilinochchi was the General Officer Commanding of 14 Division.
A series of military formalities got underway at the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi in order to welcome the newly-appointed Commander, Security Forces. The ceremony included with a traditional Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour presented by the troops of the 7 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment on his arrival at the Headquarter.
After lighting the customary oil lamp he attended religious rituals before he signed the initial document to denote inauguration of his office. To signify the inauguration, Major General Ralph Nugera planted a Santalum album sapling at the Headquarter premises.
General Officer Commanding of 57 Division, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present at the occasion.
