NEW GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 65 DIVISION ASSUMED DUTIES
Brigadier W A S Weerawardena RSP USP IG assumed duties as the new General Officer Commanding of 65 Division of the Security Forces Kilinochchi during a simple ceremony on 17 September 2015.\r\n\r\n In accordance with military traditions, Brigadier W A S Weerawardena RSP USP IG reviewed the Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour was presented by the troops of the 65 Division. Afterwards, a brief religious ceremony was conducted to invoked blessing for the new General Officer Commanding. \r\n Commanders of 651, 652 and 653 Brigades, Commanding Officers, officers and other ranks attended the ceremony .\r\n
