NEW COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES - KILINOCHCHI VISITED 65 DIVISION AS HIS FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT OF UNDER COMMAND FORMATIONS
Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana USP ndc, Commander - Security Forces (Kilinochchi) after assumption of duties as 10th Commander of Security Forces Kilinochchi, in his new appointment made a formal visit to the 65 Division Headquarters in Thunukkai on 17 January 2017.\r\n\r\nOn arrival at the 65 Division Headquarters premises, he was greeted to a Guard Turnout in accordance with military formalities which was offered by the troops of 20th Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and subsequently warm welcome was extended by Major General W A S Weerawardana RSP USP IG, General Officer Commanding, 65 Division. Thereafter, Commander attentively listened to the brief elucidation of General Officer Commanding of 65 Division. Visit 65 Division Headquarters was concluded by newly appointed Commander, after observing the Troops accommodation area and the kitchen premises.\r\n\r\nAs the next step, Commander went to see the Mulankavil Battalion Training School. He intensely observed and identified the problems for current training and he addressed the troops serving in the 65 Division and spelt out his programme of work and mentioned about the importance of continuing training and disciplinary behavior of the soldiers and matters of administrative, operational and welfare. Approximately 2000 troops were attended with Brigades Commanders, Commanding officers Senor Officers and Officers of 65 Division.\r\n
