KIYOSHI RYU BUDO TRAINING FOR SECURITY FORCERS KILINOCHCHI TROOPS

57 Division has successfully completed 'Kiyoshi Ryu Budo' self- defence training course No 02 and 03 on 21 February 2018. The certificate awarding ceremony was held at Utility Building of Headquarters 57 Division.

The 'Kiyoshi Ryu Budo' course No 2 was commenced on 23 December 2017. 166 soldiers participated from under command battalions of 57 Division and 66 soldiers participated from under command battalions of 65 and 66 Divisions. They successfully completed the fourth stage of the course and qualified to wear Green Belt.

No 3 course was commenced on 28 January 2018 and 200 military personnel attended from 57 and 65 divisions. They successfully completed two stages and qualified to wear Yellow Belt. Chief Instructor of Sri Lanka Army Karate Association Shihan Clement De Zoysa, Chief Instructor World Karate Budo Federation, Sri Lanka branch and member of World Kiyoshiryu Budo Federation have conducted the training programme.

Colonel Rohitha Aluvihare, Commander 571 Brigade graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Senior Officers from Division Staff and Commanding Officers from under command battalions of 57 Division also participated for the event. The Certificates were awarded to those who qualified for green and yellow belts by the Chief Guest. Gifts were presented to Chief Instructor Shihan Clement de Zoysa and Other instructors to appreciate their contribution.
