With the request of Divisional Secretariat in Kilinochchi, Mulathive and different organizations, troops under the Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi launched tree planting project along the A9 road, named “GREEN CORRIDOR” to coincide with the World Environmental Day commemoration on 05 June 2019.
Army Officers and other ranks of SF HQ Kilinochchi together with public authorities participated at the event. Hon Governor of northern province Dr. Suren Ragawan was the chief guest of the event and District Secretary Mullaitivu, Divisional Secretariats of Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu Districts , Senior police officers in the AOR and large number of civilians participated at the tree planting program held at Paranthan and Mankulam area. Major General G V Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG , Commander Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi too participated at the event and overall security arrangements were made by SF HQ Kilinochchi
