KILINOCHCHI TROOPS INVOLVED IN COASTAL LINE CLEAN UP PROGRAMME
Security Forces – Kilinochchi fulfilled its part in the programme of clean-up of the coastal belts in its respective areas on account of the World Environment Day on 05 June, under the guidance of Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi. \r\n\r\nIn parallel to the national programme, Troops of 65 and 66 Division under the Security Forces – Kilinochchi took part of cleaning up the coastal areas in Kilinochchi. \r\n\r\nApproximately hundred of military personnels attended to this social work, covering the coastal belt of Vallaipadu, Wettakadu, Kiranchi, Thewanpiddi and Nachchikuda.\r\n\r\nRunning parallel with the main programme, several other events were conducted by Security Forces - Kilinochchi in many places in Kilinochchi districts such as awareness programme, sharamadana campaign etc.\r\n
