As per the direction of the Commander of Army, Directorate of Information Technology has taken a step up to prevent the cyber crimes in Sri Lanka Army. As the one attempt of the said agenda, an awareness program on cybercrimes was held at the auditorium of Security Forces Headquarters (Kilinochchi) on 08 November 2017. \r\n\r\nThe main objective of this program was to educate soldiers about the rational use of internet at the office premises and social media making them less vulnerable against malicious and deleterious activities inherent with the internet and smart phone usage. A number of 250 military personnel took part in this event. At the event, main lecture on actions to be taken to protect soldiers from cybercrimes was delivered Colonel S P P Pakshaweera Commanding Officer - 12 Sri Lanka Signal Corps.
