KILINOCHCHI TROOPS EDUCATED ON ‘HOW TO MITIGATE MENTAL STRESS AND PREVENTION OF SUICIDE’

Directorate of Preventive Medicine and Mental Health of the Army took steps to organize a series of lectures on ‘How to Mitigate Mental Stress and Prevention of Suicide’ covering all units serving under the Security Force Headquarters-Kilinochchi during 16 - 18 October.

Those lectures were delivered to the troops who serve the Security Force Headquarters-Kilinochchi, the Forward Maintenance Area – Kilinochchi and All Divisions on the instruction of Major General Niyshshanka Ranawana, Commander Security Force - Kilinochchi.

63 Officers and 1036 Solders attended these lectures, conducted by lecturers of the Directorate of Preventive Medicine and Mental Health of the Sri Lanka Army and the visiting lecturers of the Divisional Secretariats at Walipitiya, Akurassa and Ambalanthota.
