KILINOCHCHI TROOPS COORDINATED EYE CLINIC FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS IN AOR

In response to a request made by Major General G V Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG, Commander, Security Forces – Kilinochchi, the Association of WETHARA APE KATTIYA donated a stock of spectacles to the needy people in Kilinochchi District during an Eye Clinic organized by the Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi at the Nelumpiyasa auditorium premises, on 12 October 2019.

The community oriented project, organized with 15 members of the medical staff from Association of WETHARA APE KATTIYA and under the guidance given by Brigadier General Staff of SFHQ KLN, Brigadier P M L Chandrasiri WWV RWP RSP.

The brief inaugural ceremony followed an eye clinic which selected 115 visually impaired students and teachers out of 178 patients who came for clinic. Meantime 10 parents and 04 civil servants in the Army also were benefitted by the programme.

Senior Officers, Civil Affairs Officers, Officers, Other Ranks of the SFHQ KLN AOR and 15 Members of Association of WETHARA APE KATTIYA attended the event.
