KILINOCHCHI TROOPS ARE VIGILANT FOR FLOODS

The Commander Security Forces Headquarters Kilinochchi Major General G V Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG instructed, all General Officers Commanding to be vigilant to react in any eventuality due to sudden flood situation that can occurred due to heavy rain in Kilinochchi district area due to monsoon weather condition. During the visit of General Officer Commanding 57 Division to flood expected areas on 24 November 2019, he recommended the Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers under him for its professional intervention made during the past floods and its excellent rescue and relief operations and spoke high of its conduct for reconciliation efforts in the Kilinochchi District. In addition, he also praised about the extra vigilance of the troops in the AOR as a precautionary measure to face future disaster in flood situation. The General Officer Commanding payed courtesy calls on victims of flood before he concluded the visit at flood effected area.
