The reconstructed railway line from Omanthai to Kilinochchi opened today. Work on the Omanthai-Kilinochchi railway line has already been completed enabling trains to run at 100 kmph. President Mahinda Rajapaksa officially launched the train service to Kilinochchi at the opening of the newly built Kilinochchi Railway Station.
