Troops under the Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi, staged their Innovations exhibition at the NELUM PIYASA auditorium in Kilinochchi during 24 July 2019. Innovators serving the 57,65 and 66 Divisions and Forward Maintenance Area - Kilinochchi (FMA-KLN) produced their exhibits to the ‘Innovata 2019’ exhibition.
This exhibition is generally held at SFHQ levels in order to innovate hidden talents and skills of the troops. The Kilinochchi exhibition consisted of 21 stalls.
Three Innovations among twenty-one were awarded prizes and certificates after a fair judgment made by Colonel S.D Udayasena, Army Research and Development Branch, Dr Pubalasundaram, Senior Lecturer, University of Jaffna and Dr P Sashikesh, Senior Lecturer, Jaffna University who manned the board judges.
The first place was awarded to Lance Corporal Jayamaha JMSM of the 9 Sri Lanka Signal crops while second and third places were given to Rfm Milinda WM from 6 Sri Lanka Singha Regiment and Lance Corporal Bandara KMSN from 3 Gajba Regiment.
The exhibition was organized under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 57 Division, under the supervision of 571,572,573 and 574 Brigade Commanders, with the blessings of Major General GV Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG.
Several Senior Officers and Officers representing all under command formations, and civilians in nearby areas attended the occasion.
