Security Force- Kilinochchi Challenge Trophy Soccer Tournament, organized by the 652 Brigade concluded on 26 February 2019 at the Security Force- Kilinochchi playground.
Major General Wasantha Kumarapperuma, General Officer Commanding - 65 Division, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest in the finals of the tournament which was held for both Army and local teams in the area.
20 Army teams participated for this Soccer Tournament. The finals for Army teams were held between the 1st Gajaba Regiment team and the 9th Sri Lanka Signal Corps team. 1st Gajaba Regiment team won the match with score of 5-3.
Locals comprised with 3 teams from the area, and Kanagapuram Sports Club and Waddakachchi Ilankaleyar Sports Club played for the finals. However, Waddakachch iIlankaleyar Sports Club won the match with score of 2-1.
The General Officer Commanding - 65 Division, and General Officer Commanding - 66 Division, gave away trophies and certificates to the winning and runners-up teams.
