A Special coordinating conference was held to discuss the issues of present Covid 19 situation in Kilinochchi District on 05 January 2021 at Security Force headquarters Kilinochchi, after assuming duties as the District Coordinating Officer Kilinochchi by Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi, Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda .
This discussion was presided by Commander Security Forces Killinochchi, with Government Agent Kilinochchi District Mrs R. Ketheeswaran to ensure the smooth function of the prevention mechanism of Covid-19 outbreak in the Kilinochchi District.
Regional Director of Health Services Dr R N Sarvanabawan elaborated the present quarantine details, facilities and treatments in Kilinochchi District, treatment policy, Quarantine policy and monitoring policy of quarantine persons. Further, during the conference, District coordinator discussed all the matters pertaining to critical areas in depth such as policies of local isolation, quarantine curfew and lockdown policy, conducting of random PCR/ rapid antigen testing policy, supply of medicine and equipment, dry ration and other essentials and action against violation of quarantine act as well.
Additional Government Agent Mr. K Shrimohana, all Divisional Secretaries, Regional Director of Health Services Kilinochchi, Secretaries of Karachchi, Poonagary and Palai Pradeshiya Saba, Director IDH, Assistant Commissioner of local Govt Kilinochchi, Superintendent PHI (D) Kilinochchi, ASP Kilinochchi District, other Medical officials, General Officer Commanding of 57 Infantry Division, Commanders of 571 and 661 Infantry Brigade and Senior Staff Officers in SFHQ KLN also participated to the meeting.
