Commander Security Forces Killinochchi, Major General Harendra Ranasinghe made his maiden official visit to 57 Division on 01 March 2021.
On arrival at 57 Division, Commander Security Forces Killinochchi was received by the General Officer Commanding 57 Division, Major General Priyantha Jayawardena, and was honoured with a Guard Turnout on the arrival.
Then General Officer commanding, 57 Division ushered him to plant a sapling in the premises to symbolize the visit. After that, a brief presentation on operational, administrative and logistic aspects of the Division conducted by the GOC 57 Division. Subsequently, Commander Security Force Kilinochchi posed for a group photograph with the Staff of 57 Division.
Thereafter, Commander Security Force addressed the troops and emphasized the importance of performing the assigned duties with dedication and commitment. Further he stressed the need of promoting, their professional competencies through the constant training to develop the skills of performing multiple task of the soldiers to face the future security challenges of the nation. Later, Commander visited the Victory Monument Kilinochchi and Harmony Centre to scrutinize the development needs of those locations.
All Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and Staff Officers of the Division were present during the event.
