INTER BATTALIONS ELLE AND TUG OF WAR TOURNANMENTS CONCLUDED IN KILINOCHCHI
As per the direction of Major General K A D A Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Commander - Security Forces Kilinochchi, and according to the Year Plan- 2016 of Security Forces - Kilinochchi, 66 Division and 65 Division were organized a Tug of War and Elle Tournaments. The Final Games of the said tournament was held on 04 January 2017 at Parevipachchan Public Playground.\r\n\r\nElle Tournament was organized by 15th Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment under the supervision of 661 Brigade and 66 Division.10 teams contested for initial steps and 9th Battalion of Sri Lanka Signal Corps team and 2nd Battalion of Sri Lanka National Guard team contested for the championship and 9th Battalion of Sri Lanka Signal Corps team won the trophy. \r\n\r\nBest fielder - S/ 2Q03411 Lance Corporal Gunasena G W S S - 2nd Battalion of Sri Lanka National Guard\r\nBest Batsman - S/282633 Lance Corporal Jayasinghe R A R D - 9th Battalion of Sri Lanka Signal Corps\r\nBest Runner - S/280697 Lance Corporal Dananjaya H A S - 9th Battalion of Sri Lanka Signal Corps\r\n\r\nTug of War Tournament was organized by under command battalion of 65 Division.33 teams contested for initial steps and 9th Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment won the third place. 24th Battalion of Gamunu Watch Regiment team and 10th Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry team contested for the championship and 10th Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry team won the trophy.\r\n
