\'HEALTHY ARMY - HEALTHY NATION\' PROGRAMME CONDUCTED AT SFHQ (KLN)
With the objective of raising health awareness among officers and soldiers in the Army, \'Healthy Army - Healthy Nation\' awareness programme was taken place at the Nelumpiyasa auditorium in Security Forces Headquarters – Kilinochchi on 06 (Friday) under the intensive supervision of Major General K A D A Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Commander - Security Forces - Kilinochchi. \r\n\r\nDuring the programme, medical of HAHN team highlighted the rapid increase of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD), such as High Blood sugar, High Blood cholesterol, Heart diseases, Stroke, Chronic Lung Diseases, Chronic Kidney Diseases and obesity among Sri Lankans. Approximately 420 military personnel serving in the Kilinochchi area were participated to the programme.\r\n\r\nThe HAHN medical team is comprised with Brigadier A S M Wijewardane, Consultant Physician & Campaign Coordinator, Colonel R M M Monaragala, Consultant Psychiatric, Major H R P S K Hadagama, SO II (HAHN), Major R P M Prasanga Coordinating Secretary (HAHN) and Lieutenant A C K Udugama, Nutritionist.\r\n\r\nBrigadier G J A W Galagamage, General Officer Commanding – 57 Division together with Brigadier R M P J Rathnayake RWP RSP USP, Brigadier General Staff – Security Forces Headquarters - Kilinochchi and many other senior officers , Other Ranks also participated in the event.\r\n\r\n
