HARMONY CRICKET TOURNAMENT

As concept of the commander security forces KLN Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda ndc IG to strengthen the cohesion and sportsmanship among the talented youth residing in security force Kilinochchi AOR, “Harmony Cricket Tournament 2020” was organized by the 6th Bn Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment under supervision of 57 Division and 572 Infantry Brigade. The tournament was started on 12th September 2020 and final match play was on 27 September 2020 in Visuamadu school ground, 25 teams participated including 3 Army teams for this tournament. Among 28 cricket clubs Vinayagar Sports Club and Dharmapuram Sports Club were selected for the finals. During in the finals Dharmapuram Sports Club won the Challenge trophy by beating Vinayagar Sports Club. Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi graced the occasion as the chief guest. General Officer Commanding 57 Div, General Officer commanding 65 Div Commander 572 Brigade, Senior Officer, troops and civilians participated to witness the final match.
