In order to meet with a concept outspoken by the Major General B P S de Silva RSP, the General Officer Commanding 57 Division, S/101244, Private Puvitha I, a woman soldier from 4 (V) Sri Lanka Army Women Corps was facilitated to renovate her home, since it was identified as a timely requirement. She has enlisted to the Sri Lanka Army in year 2014 and resides at No 60, Musalampiddi, Puliyanpokkanai in Kandawalai Divisional Secretariat. She lives along with her old parents and two younger sisters in this house. It was observed that, the roof of the house was in a risk in falling down which could be affected with the effect of the devastating weather condition in the monsoon season. By considering the economic status of the family the roof was completely renovated, remaining them hopes to live freely. At the same time, this facilitates her younger sister to appear for the GCE (O/L) examination with free mind. The technical and the skilled personnel assistance was extended by the Engineer Services Section of 57 divisions and the labor assistance was provided by the Divisional troops. The General Officer Commanding 57 Division visited the renovated house and officially handed over. The Brigade Commanders, the Commanding Officers and the Garrison Engineer of 57 Division also participated for the occasion.
