FREE SPECTACLES FOR LOW - INCOME PEOPLE IN KILINOCHCHI
Lions Club, Polgasovita steps forward to another social work for the people in Kilinochchi with the coordination of George Gooneratne Optometrists - Colombo, donated spectacles on 26 September 2015 at Nelum Piyasa Auditorium, Kilinochchi. 57 Division and 571 Brigade coordinated this spectacles donation programme on the request made by Mr W Atigala Chairman of Lions Club, Polgasovita.\r\n\r\n Dr .Gayan Jayawardane, Kilinochchi General Hospital conducted eye clinic on 10,11 and 13 Sep to select suitable persons for this donation progarmme with the assistance of Security Forces Kilinochchi. As result of that event, 100 spectacles were distributed for people who were selected from eye clinic.\r\n\r\n Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi attended as the Chief Guest of the event. Brigadier Jayantha Senavirathne RWP RSP General Officer Commanding 57 Division, Mr W Atigala Chairman of Lions Club - Polgasovita, Mr Jayantha Abeygunarathne Managing Director of George Gooneratne Optometrists, Mr Jayamapathi Suriyapperuma Managing Director of Auto Update (Pvt) Ltd , Mr Roshan Illeperuma - Lak Lee Merchants and Crafts , Dr.M Jayarasa Deputy Regional Director of Health Services – Kilinochchi, Deputy Director of Kilinochchi Hospital Dr. Nishadi Ranasinghe and other State Officers, Army Officers attended this event.\r\n
