According to the directions given by the General Officer Commanding of 57 Division, Major General Vijitha Ravipriya, a simple ceremony was held for distribute spectacles to needy people in Kilinochchi area on 08 March 2019. This was organized under the supervision of the Commander 572 Brigade.
This event was held at St Luke’s Church Dharmapuram with the sponsorships extended by Maha Karuna Buddhist Association in Malaysia and Vidya Sivaloganathan Foundation. 570 Spectacles were received the needy people in the areas of Vishwamadu, Thottiadi, Chundikulam, Theravil, Punniravi, Mailawanapuram, Barathipuram and Nethali Aru.
General Officer Commanding of 57 Division graced the event as the chief guest along with Mrs Suvineetha Weerasinghe president of Vidya Sivaloganathan Foundation and Prof. Nandalal, Co-President of Vidya Sivaloganathan Foundation.
