As per the guidance of General Officer Commanding of 57 Division Brigadier A S Hewawitharana RSP USP ndc IG, 572 and 573 Brigades conducted a programme for distributing livestocks for needy families in the area of responsibility on 21 July 2019 in order to economically empower them. In that, 160 chicks were distributed among 16 families of Visuamadu (West) and Piramanthalaru GN divisions in 572 Brigade area of responsibility. 100 chicks and 10 chicken coop were distributed among 10 families of Paranthan, Puliyanpokkanei and Mawadiamman GN division in 573 Brigade area of responsibility. This programme was conducted under the patronage of Heart Beat Foundation. General Officer Commanding 57 Division, Commander 573 Brigades, Colonel General Staff - 57 Division, Battalion Commanders and Officials of the Heart Beat Foundation participated at the programme.
