DISTRIBUTION OF DRINKING WATER BOTTLES – SFHQ (KLN) AOR
As per the direction given by the Commander Security Force Kilinochchi and under the guidance of GOC 65 Div and Comd 651 Bde, CO 11 (V) GR had organized a campaign to distribute drinking water on 23 August 24, 2014 at Komalamuney Tamil Mix School to the Drought-hit people in Mulankavil area with the patronage of Mr.Rukman Gunathilake the Chairman, Gem Products association in Rathnapura.
Two hundred families were given 800 x 5 letter plastic water bottles as x 4 bottles per each family in Mulankavil, Jayapuram South, Nachchikuda, Iranamatha Nagar, Paliwarayankaddu and Kariyalanapadduwan.
After the event a group of youth staged a drama on the importance of drinking water. Civilians conveyed their heartiest gratitude to military for its timely assistance towards the issues faced by civilians.
Commander SF(KLN) attended as the chief guest along with GOC 65 Div/ Comd 651 Bde following Religious/ Community leaders in AOR.
