DISCUSSION ON THE ISSUES OF COVID 19 OUTBREAK WITH MEDICAL OFFICIALS IN KILINOCHCHI

In the wake of rapid transmission of the COVID - 19 virus in its 3rd wave, the Commander Security Force Kilinochchi and the District Coordinating Officer for COVID-19 Outbreak of Kilinochchi Major General Harendra Ranasinghe had a conference with visiting Deputy Director General Ministry of Health Dr. S Sridharan and medical official on 09 May 2021. In that, commander elaborated that measures are to be taken in Kilinochchi District in order to mitigate the prevailing 3rd wave which has suddenly resulted high number of infected personnel. Further, a special attention has been paid on implementing a proper mechanism on this regard with the coordination of security forces and government servants including health authorities.

Regional Director of Health Services Kilinochchi Dr. N. Sarvana Bawan, General Officer Commanding 66 Infantry Division - Major General Ajith Dissanayake, General Officer Commanding 57 Infantry Division - Major General Priyantha Jayawardena, other medical staff and Senior Staff Officers in SFHQ (KLN) also participated the meeting.
