DEVOTED KILINOCHCHI TROOPS ATTENDED TO A SPECIAL RELIGIOUS PROGRAMME AT COMPOUND OF RUWANVELI SEYA
To invoke the triple Gems bless upon the soldiers and to wish the strength to troops to protect the motherland, Security Forces Headquarters – Kilinochchi organized a “ Pirith Chanting” and “Alms giving” ceremony at Anuradhapura on the direction of Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana USP ndc, Commander, Security Forces Kilinochchi.\r\n\r\nOn 18 Saturday evening, Special Pichcha mal Pooja (offering of Jasmine flower pooja) and Pirith Chanting ceremony was held at compound of Ruwanwelisaya. A total of 150 Army personnel attended the programme and it was conducted to remember and offered merit to the war heroes who sacrificed their lives and disabled during the war at the end of the Pirith Chanting programme.\r\n\r\nAt the end of the this religious event, Kiri Ahara (Milk Rice) poojawa for Anuradhapura Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya (Sacred Boo Tree) held on 19 Sunday morning.\r\n\r\nMajor General Ajith Kariyakarawana USP ndc, Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi together with Brigadier Duminda Keppeitiwalana, General Officer Commanding – 66 Division and Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks took part in this religious event\r\n
