Keeping another step forward in enhancing officers’ career performance of academics, profession and command, SFHQ (KLN) conducted 5 day workshop with the theme of “Developmental Workshop for Senior Officersâ€.
Aim of conducting the workshop is to enhance knowledge and confidence of the Commanding Officers of Bns under Security Force Kilinochchi on areas related to military professionalism and mainly to make COs:
a. Aware of dynamics of Command.
b. Leadership and decision making.
c. The legal aspects in the present environment and laws related IHL and HR.
d. Admin in unit lines with an understanding, exposure and knowledge on non public funds.
e. Psychological and Information warfare.
f. International Relations.
g. Professionalism and dignity of the profession of Arms.
It was conducted with the assistance of eminent intellectuals such as Brig R M Jayasinghe (Retd) USP psc, Brig W R Palihakkara USP and professionals representing various universities, institutions and military establishments as facilitators to mold the COs to achieve the organizational goals and objectives.
With the culmination of very high standard group presentation with the theme of the Crisis in Syria, Impacts on Global Stability, Peace and Security conducted by COs displaying acquired and shaped skills of leadership, command, public speaking, self confidence and further constructive comments were presented by an expert professional panel including Col Dayan Athukorala (Retd) after careful analysis of the performances of Commanding Officers.
