CONDUCT OF INFANTRY SECTION TRAINING COURSE AT 66 DIVISON - POONARYN

Under the direction and close supervision of General Officer Commanding 66 Division Brigadier Deepthi Jayathilaka "Infantry Section Training Course” was conducted for the troops under Security Forces Kilinochchi during 1-28 November at Battalion Training School - Arasapurakulam.

162 Other Ranks attended for the first course from Infantry Battalions under Security Forces Headquarters- Kilinochchi. All students got the opportunity to build confidence and enhance the battle skills, refresh the theoretical & practical knowledge of battle skills and professionalism of NCOs in order to develop their battle skills and tactical application for future operational requirements as a cohesive fighting outfit.

The closing address was held at Battalion training School - Arasapurakulam on 28 November 2018. Commander, 661 Brigade, Brigadier Priyantha Jayawardena conducted the closing address Colonel General Staff of Security Forces Headquarters - Kilinochchi and 66 Division and senior officers under 66 Division participated in the event.

At the end of the day, all qualified students have obtained a valuable certificate and trophies.The 15 (V) Sri Lanka Singha Regiment section was the best section, S/473269 Cpl Rajapaksha RCPC from 1 Gajaba Regiment was the best student and S/469784 Cpl Mahagedara SAR form 1 Gajaba Regiment was the best Section Commander of the course.
