The Commander Security Forces Killinochchi, Major General KNS Kotuwegoda ndc IG made an official visit to 9 Field Engineer Regiment and 4(V) Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps on 01 August 2020.
On arrival at 4(V) SLAWC, Commander Security Forces Killinochchi was honoured with a Guard Turnout and received by Commanding Officer Lt Col RSP Silva RSP USP
After the troops address, a brief presentation on administrative, operational and logistic aspects of the Battalion conducted by the Commanding Officer. Afterwards, he had a look around the camp and joined all Ranks for refreshments.
Next, Comd SF (KLN) visited the Headquarters of 9 Field Engineer Regiment. In line with the traditions and customs in the Army, he was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer Major GAD Alwis RSP psc. Later, he paid his thorough attention to the comprehensive briefing presented by the Commanding Officer in relevance to the operational and administrative tasks carried out by the Battalion. Finally he visited camp premises and wind up the days visit.
Commander Security Force addressed the troops in each Battalions and emphasized the importance of performing assigned duties with dedication and commitment and promotion of their professional skills through constant training as soldiers.
The visiting Commander during those visits planted saplings as symbols of memory and signed visitors’ books in all those places.
