The Commander Security Forces Killinochchi, Major General Vijitha Ravipriya made an official visit to 65 Division and its under command Brigades and Battalions on 04 and 05 April 2019.
On arrival at 65 Division Commander Security Forces Killinochchi was received by the General Officer Commanding, 65 Division, Major General Wasantha Kumarapperuma and Commander Security Forces Killinochchi was honoured with a Drive Pass on the arrival.
Afterwards, a brief presentation on operational and administrative aspects of the 65 Division and it’s under command Brigades and Battalions was conducted by Col AQ, Bde Comds and COs. The event was followed by a troops address and an all rank tea. Later, the commander declared open the newly constructed SLEME Field Workshop and paid a visit to Sorghum cultivation, Charcoal project and waste collection center.
As the next step, he visited the 651 and 653 Brigade Headquarters at Mulankavil and Alankulam. Later SF Commander visited the 4 under command Battalions of 651 & 653 Brigade 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, 19 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, 17(V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry, 11(V) Gajaba Regiment.
On 05 April, Commander Security Forces Killinochchi made his visit to the 652 Brigade Headquarters at Anavilankulam. Colonel Prabath Kodithuwakku, Brigade Commander presented a brief outline on the operational aspect of his troops. Security Force Commander afterwards addressed the troops and attended an all rank tea. Later SF Commander visited the 2 under command Battalions of 652 Brigade 20(V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, 7 Sri Lanka National Guards. The visiting Commander planted saplings as a symbol and left his signature in visitors’ books to mark his visits to the places.
