COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES KILLINOCHCHI CONTINUES HIS VISITS TO AFFILIATED UNITS

The Commander Security Forces Killinochchi, Major General KNS Kotuwegoda ndc IG made an official visit to his own Regiment, 8th Medium Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery which he commanded during The high intense period in battle situation of the Humanitarian Operation from 06 March 2007 to 31 December 2007, and to Armour Coordinating Headquarters on 11 August 2020.

On arrival at 8 SLA, Commander Security Forces Killinochchi was received by Commanding Officer Lt Col WSAB Dharamarathne RSP USP psc IG.and honoured with a Guard Turnout followed by a guard of honour.

The Commander Security Forces Killinochchi, addressed the troops, then, a brief presentation on present situation, tasks and responsibilities, deployment of troops and other details pertaining to the Regiment was conducted by the Commanding Officer. Afterwards, The Commander Security Forces Killinochchi, had a look around the camp and visited Artillery ammunition dump and the Gun shed. Subsequently, he posed for a group photographs with the troops.

Next, Comd SF (KLN) visited the Armor Coordinating Headquarters. In line with the traditions and customs in the Army, he was warmly welcomed by the Officer Commanding, Major TMNB Aberathna. Later, the Commander paid his thorough attention to the comprehensive briefing presented by the Officer Commanding in relevance to the operational and administrative tasks carried out by the Squadron. Finally, he visited camp premises and inspected armoured tanks and then winded up the day’s visit.

During the camp visits, Commander Security Force Kilinochchi planted saplings as symbols of memory and signed visitors’ book to mark his visits. Brigadier Admin and Quartering and Colonel General Staff of the Security Force Headquarters Kilinochchi also participated to the visits.
