Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi, Major General HMJK Gunaratne WWV RWP RSP ndc psc made his official visit to 65 Division and its under command formations on 30 January 2020.
In line with the traditions and customs in the Army he was warmly welcomed by the General Officer Commanding 65 Division, Brigadier DMHD Bandara RWP RSP USP. Thereafter Major General HMJK Gunaratne WWV RWP RSP ndc psc planted a sapling to mark his first official visit to Headquarters 65 Division.
Later, he paid his thorough attention on the comprehensive briefing presented by the General Officer Commanding of 65 Division, Brigade Commanders of 651 and 653 Brigades in relevance of the Operational and Administrative matters.
Soon after the briefing, Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi, addressed the Officers and Other Ranks and joined with all Ranks’ Tea. Finally, he paid a brief visit inside the camp premises.
Afterwards, Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi, visited 653 Brigade and 17 (V) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry. Then Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi visited Battalion Training School in Mulankavil. There he inspected the facilities available for trainees at Battalion Training School and their troops also addressed separately. There after he visited 19 Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry and concluded the official visit.
