COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES KILINOCHCHI VISIT TO UNDER COMMAND BATTALIONS
Major General A Kariyakarawana USP ndc Commander, Security Force Kilinochchi paid his first visit to 1 GR , 7 SLNG and Affiliated Battalions of 8 SLA , 9 SLE, 9 SLSC and 24 GW on 12 to 16 May 2017 after assuming duties as the Commander SF (KLN).\r\n\r\nOn 12 May, Commander, Security Force Kilinochchi visited 1 Gajaba Regiment and 7 Sri Lanka National Guard.\r\n\r\nCommander visited 8 Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA), 9 Field Engineer Regiment (SLE) and 9 Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC), 24 Gemunu Watch Regiment (GW) on 15 and 16 May 2017 respectively. During the visit the new Kilinochchi Commander was welcomed by respective commanding officers of all battalions and presented a comprehensive briefing on their duties, CIMIC activities and other military commitments.\r\n\r\nDuring the visit Commander planted saplings and share his views with the troops of respective Headquarters and urged them to continue their training and good work while maintaining the highest standards of military discipline at all levels. Further, He inquired into the facilities which are available for the troops. The commander left a complimentary remark in the Visitors’ books in respective Battalions Headquarters.
