Under the direction of Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi Major General Amal Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc and the guidance and supervision of Major General Sarath Weerawardhana RSP USP IG, troops of 65 Division together with devotees of Our Lady of the Rosary Church Iranamathanagar and Roman Catholic Church Thewanpiddi have organaized Christmas Carols concerts and religious activities to celebrate the remember of the birth of Jesus Christ.\r\n\r\n Christmas carols concert of Roman Catholic church at Thewanpiddi was held on 27 December 2016 at the church premises. Rev. Fr. Arul Kumaran with troops from 15(v) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment organized the concert. Chief Incumbent of Marada Madhu Church Rev. Fr. Imliyan Pillei, Commanding officer 15 (v) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment , Zonal Educational Director – Madu Zone Liyan Pillei and Principal of Iranamatha vidyala participated to the event.\r\n\r\n Meanwhile Christmas carol concert of Our Lady of the Rossary church at Iranamathanagar was held on 28 December 2016 . Major General Sarath Weerawardhana RSP USP IG graced the occasion as the Chief Guest together with Rev. Fr. FA Benett - Director of Catholic Sunday Schools Mullativ. Troops of 11(V) Gajaba Regiment arranged the church premises decoratively and feasted the gathered devotees.
