A record gathering of about 1000 civilians, including Army personnel of the Security Force - Kilinochchi, perhaps for the first time in Kilinochchi's history on 27 September 2019 witnessed a rare and colourful dancing show presented by the most-reputed cultural group of 'China Hubei Traditional Music and dance' under the patronage of Embassy of China in Sri Lanka and China cultural center in Sri Lanka with the guidance of Commander, Security Forces Kilinochchi Major General GV Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG.
This event includes impressive Chinese dance, Martial Arts performance, musical and song items specific to Hubei Province in China art and photography exhibitions of Hubei Province in China.
The arrangement at 'Nelum Piyasa' auditorium was graced by District Secretary for Mullaitivu Mrs R. Ketheeswaran together with General Officer Commanding 65 Division, Major General K A W Kumarapperuma USP, General Officer Commanding 57 Division, Major General B P S De Silva RSP, General Officer Commanding 66 Division, Brigadier M D Wijesundara RSP, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks enjoyed the cultural spectacle that contributed to the promotion of goodwill and relations between China and Sri Lanka.
