AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON WORLD TELECOMMUNICATION AND SOCIETY DAY
In par with World Telecommunication and Information Society Day on 17 May 14, Security Force Headquarters, Kilinochchi organized a full day awareness programme for students in Kilinochchi area on 24 May 2014 at Nelum Piyasa with Commander, Security Force Kilinochchi gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest.
A full day programme consists with series of Lectures by scholars and exhibits on telecommunication and information technology were conducted with the intention on enhancing the knowledge of the participants. Approximately 600 students with their teachers attended the full day programme representing all schools in Security Force Kilinochchi area of responsibility. The uniqueness of this programme was that students were given the opportunity to acquire firsthand experience on modern day communication and information technology systems.
A large gathering of civilians, well wishers and military personnel attended this programme organized by 9 SLSC.
