AWARENESS PROGRAME FOR THE WORLD AIDS DAY – 01 DEC 14
With the view of uplifting health and to educate general public and military personnel in Kilinochchi District in collaboration with government and non – governmental organizations, SF (KLN) had launched a National programe to mark World AIDS Day on 01 Dec 14 with the assistance of RDHS (Kilinochchi), National STD/AIDS control programe of Health Ministry and Director of Health Service for Northern province.
This programe conducted for two sessions. Morning programe conducted for the civilians in Kilinochchi / Mullaitivu and the evening programe conducted for the officers and other rankers of Army, Navy, Air force and Police. There were about 350 civilians and 500 Offrs/ORs were attended for the event.
The lecture was conducted by Dr. Sathya Herath a Consultant Community Physician of National STD/AIDS Control Programe in Sri Lanka.
GOC, 57 Div attended on the Chief Guest and many civil representatives from field of health and Military Offrs/ORs were participated for the event.
