ASSUMING OF DUTIES AS GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING - 57 DIVISION

Brigadier AS Hewawitharana RSP USP ndc IG assumed office as the 12th General Officer Commanding of the 57 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi on 1st Wednesday May 2019.

The newly-appointed General Officer Commanding received the Guard Turnout at the entrance to the Division Headquarters upon his arrival. Afterwards, with the blessing of ‘Pirith Chanting’ Brigadier Shantha Hewawitharana placed his signature in an official document to signify the acceptance of the new office in the presence of all Brigade Commanders, Staff Officers and Commanding Officers. Then, he addressed the Officers and Other Ranks under 57 Division at the Utility Building of 57 Division and exposed his future vision for 57 Division. All Ranks Tea arrangement brought the day's event to end.
