ARMY TROOPS DONATED BLOOD FOR THE PEOPLE OF KILINOCHCHI

By responding to a request made by the Kilinochchi Blood Bank, troops of Security Force Headquarters Kilinochchi volunteered to donate blood for the benefit of patients on 17 May 2021 at the Army Base hospital Kilinochchi premises. The Commander Security Force Kilinochchi Major General Harendra Ranasinghe was given necessary guidelines for this project and made a visit to inspect the arrangement during the programme.

Dr. Nethma Wjethilaka, Medical Officer from Kilinochchi Blood bank, and his medical team of District General Hospital Kilinochchi, assisted conducting the project. More than hundreds of troops under the SF KLN donated their blood during this campaign.

At the end of the programme, staff of the District General Hospital Kilinochchi did not forget to appreciate the generosity and the support given by the Army for the saving of lives of the people of Kilinochchi.
