ARMY TROOPS BUILT 2 - BUILDINGS FOR 2 - SCHOOLS IN KILINOCHCHI

11 Corps of Engineering Service, 6 Sri Lanka singhe Regiment and 14 Sri Lanka National Guard of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi using their technical know-how successfully completed the construction of the much-needed new two buildings complex for flood effected schools of WADDAKACHCHI primary school and MURUKANANTHA Primary school in Kilinochchi and formally handed it over to schools at two charming ceremonies.

At the auspicious minute of 8.30 a.m. on 12 September 2019, the chief guest of the event, Governor of Northern Province Dr.Suren Ragawan, Major General G V Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG, Commander, Security Force - Kilinochchi together with the , District Secretary of Kilinochchi Mr.S Arumeinayaham , Zonal Education Director, state officials and other invitees participated at the opening of new buildings after cutting a ribbon.

Presidential Secretariate has spent Rs. 10.7 m for the new school buildings, constructed by the troops. Technical and constructional skills of the Army troops have saved a fair sum of money to the government. The opening ceremony had been coordinated by the office of the District Secretary Kilinochchi.

General Officer Commanding 57 Division, Senior Officers of 57 Division, Civil Coordinating Officers of the SFHQ-(KLN) and the 573 Brigade, Senior Officers, Officers, Principals, teachers, students and a large gathering of parents were present during the ceremony.
