AN AMERICAN PROFESSOR AND HIS UNIVERSITY STUDENTS’ KILINOCHCHI VISIT
An American Professor and his students of Davidson College America visited Kilinochchi on the 9th November 2013. They were warmly welcomed by Major General Udaya Perera the Security Forces Commander Kilinochchi. After visiting some important areas in Kilinochchi they arrived at the Harmony Centre in Kilinochchi. The American Professor has delivered a lecture on the issues related to the Somalian conflict. 130 Army officers serving in the Security Forces Kilinochchi Area of Responsibility were present. It was an interesting lecture. The audience has raised some questions related to the subject. The Professor has analyzed some facts related to the pirates of Somalia and he elaborated more hidden stories regarding the political involvements in Somalian piracy.
Further we observed that the American university students managed to have a chat with some school children in Kilinochchi in a happy mood.
