According to the direction of the General Officer Commanding 57 Division Major General G V Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG, 7 Sri Lanka Light Infantry organized a foot ball tournament for consecutive second time at Paravipanjan playground Kilinochchi with the participation of the young football teams of the Kilinochchi area.
Major General G V Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG, the General Officer Commanding 57 Division, graced the commencement of the tournament on 28 March 2019 and matches will be held on 29, 30, and 31 March, and finals will be held on 06 April 2019.
35 teams have forwarded nominations to participate for the tournament. The tournament has been organized in order to commemorate the late Mr. T Rajanayagam the former bearer of the Mahadewa Ashramaya Kilinochchi with the sponsorship of the Sri Lanka Mobitel.
Commander 571 brigade, Mr. Ponnambalam Nithyanathan President of the Mahadewa Ashramaya, Mr Sugath Abeysinghe from Sri Lanka Mobitel participated for the commencement ceremony.
