661 INFANTRY BRIGADE CONTINUALLY ORGANIZE COUNSELING WORKSHOP FOR GCE (O/L) STUDENTS OF THE POONERYN AREA

Subsequent to the direction given by the General Officer Commanding 66 Division Major General Jagath Kodituwakku RWP RSP ndu and with the supervision of Commander 661 Brigade Brigadier Shantha Hewage RWP RSP USP psc along with 5 (V) Mechanized Infantry Regiment conducted a counselling workshop for 31 students who envisioned to sit for G.C.E (O/L) examination in year 2020. This workshop was held on 08 September 2020 at Pooneryn Central College. Mr Makeepan, former ONUR (Office for National Unity and Reconciliation) coordinator of the Killinochchi District, Mrs Gilberd Vanceline, a Diploma holder for training, Mrs S. Shanthakala, a Diploma holder in Counselling and Miss R. Kethuja, have conducted the program as resource personnel. Moreover, the aim of this workshop is to prepare GCE (O/L) students for the incoming exam with immaculate mind.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the principal and teachers along with the students extended their gratitude to the Army for the initiative. Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi, Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda provided necessary guidelines for conduct of the workshop.
