66 DIVISION TROOPS DISTRIBUTES DRINKING WATER BOTTLES FOR DROUGHT EFFECTED VILLAGERS
Troops of the 66 Division under the Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi organized another charity programme by distributing 800 of 19 liter drinking water bottles among drought effected villagers in Gawutharimunai, Pallikuda, Ghanimadam , Vallaipadu and Ponnaveli, Palavi GS divisions in Poonaryn area on 28 January 2017.\r\n\r\nThe donation was sponsered by Mr Piyal Keppetiwalana, Mr Suresh Nagalingam and Mr Chaminda Jayasundara from Kurunegala. On the guidance of Brigadier Duminda Keppetiwalana General Officer Commanding, 66 Division, this distributing event was coordinated by 661 and 663 Brigades in order to enhance the goodwill and reconcilition among the civilians in northern area.\r\n\r\nApproximately 600 families were benefited from this programme. Commander 661 Brigade Colonel Priyantha Jayawardena, Lieutienent Colonel Sanath Weerakoon - Civil Affairs Officer, 66 Division, senior military officers, donors and several official attended this occassion.\r\n\r\n\r\n
