66 Division splendidly celebrated the 6th anniversary on 07 January 2016 with traditional military customs and norms giving priority to religious observances with the guidance of Maj Gen A P de Z Wickramarathne RWP ndu psc, GOC – 66 Division. Series of event were carried out to be a line with celebrations.\r\n\r\n The anniversary was initiated by conducting “Bodhi Pooja Pinkama” on 05 January 2016 evening to the given priority for religious observances. Meanwhile, the anniversary programme commenced with a Guard Turnout presented to the GOC 66 Division by 20 Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops and later a Guard of Honour was presented by the troops of under 66 Division.\r\n\r\n Planting of a tree sapling, all rank lunch and newly renovated WO’S Mess was opened by GOC on the same day. In parallel to this anniversary celebration, newly renovated Offrs Mess ceremonially opened by GOC – 66 Division on 09 January 2016.\r\n\r\n Brigade Commanders. Commanding Officers, Officers and Other Ranks, civil staff were participated the anniversary celebrations.\r\n
