On the concept of the General Officer Commanding of 65 Division, Major General DMHD Bandara RWP RSP USP, a Civil-Military Coordination conference was conducted on 13 March 2020 at Headquarters 652 Brigade Anavilandankulam, in order to enhance the interpersonal coordination between responsible government authorities, villagers and the Army, in assisting the relevant authorities to ensure the security of the area, to maintain law and order and to uplift the living standards of the people.
Religious Leaders, and many other relevant government authorities including civilians in the area participated to the meeting. This session paved the way for identifying and exchanging the views and ideas of government officials, civilians and the army, regarding illegal activities and drug trafficking which are being continued in the area. The General Officer Commanding 65 Division presided the meeting and the Commander 652 Brigade and Staff Officers of 652 Brigade also participated in the meeting.
