65 INFANTRY DIVISION'S NEW OFFICIATING GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING ASSUMES DUTIES

Brigadier DMT Dissanayake RSP USP assumed duties as the 12th Officiating General Officer Commanding of 65 Infantry Division under Security Force HQ - Killinochchi, amidst religious blessings and military formalities at the Headquarters 65 Infantry Division in Thunukkai on Tuesday, 09 September 2020.

The newly-appointed Officiating General Officer Commanding of 65 Infantry Division was warmly welcomed by the Staff Officers of the Division Headquarters and honoured in a Guard Turnout and a colorful parade presented by the troops of 65 Division. Later on, Brigadier Tikiri Dissanayake placed his signature on an official document to mark his assuming of duties, amidst chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ in the presence of Senior Officers. A traditionally he planted a sapling and followed up an all Ranks tea with the other events.

Brigade Commanders, Staff Officers of the Headquarters 65 Infantry Division, Commanding Officers and other Ranks were present at the occasion.
